Community Church is a vibrant church community of kids and adults, college students and seniors, couples and singles, who are united together on purpose. Since our earliest days in 1980 when a few hundred people began meeting in a high school cafetorium to today when over a thousand people from all over Central Michigan call Community Church home, we have experienced the wonder and power of God’s simple, timeless and life-changing message at work among us.

‘Most other sins in the Bible, we are told to avoid them or step away from them, except sexual sin – the Bible tells us to run. Don’t stand there trying to fight it. Get out of dodge. We flee from sexual immorality. Don’t go near it. Run. We think the act of adultery is a crossing of the line. But we know that there are about 50 other lines you have crossed before you finally, physically commit adultery. It starts in the mind, the eyes, and the heart. Here’s the litmus test of reducing the risk: If your spouse saw everything you did and said in a given day – would they be blessed or would they be hurt by your interactions and words and behavior.’ #badadvice #healthyfamilies #togetheronpurpose

We are excited to announce the launch of our Alma Campus in January 2020. Find out more about it here... https://mpcc.org/alma/
‘In the beginning of the book of Acts, we are on the edge of a cliff. The church is about to explode. A world-wide revolution is about to take place. We are about to carry His name to the nations. We are about to smash down what the enemy has built. An aggressive love campaign is about to crash into the lives of broken men and women and children. Lies will be exposed. Deceit will be sent running. Life is about to break out. Freedom is coming. Light is cracking through. Ultimately, we are taking part in a massive assault that began one dark afternoon on a hill just outside of Jerusalem. I want you to feel the weight and the glory of that. It is a remarkable truth that the same God who worked “through Christ” to achieve this amazing reconciliation, now works “through us” to announce it! Church, will you take up that mantle, will you carry that message? Will you be an ambassador of this Gospel message?’ #thetimebetween #HappyEaster #togetheronpurpose
Celebrate with us at 8 am, 9:30 am, 11 am, or 12:30 pm. #hesrisenindeed

‘Passivity may be a key form of sin in our day. For Adam and Eve passivity meant letting the snake tell them what to do. It meant abdicating God’s design and purpose and call over their lives – to exercise dominion and control of the world... To say that someone is not responsible for their actions is to demean him or her as a human. It is a part of the glory of a human being to act and think, to move, to lead, to love and to breathe. God made us that way. It is a part of the glory of human beings that we are held responsible for our actions. Then when we acknowledge our sin and guilt, we receive God’s forgiveness, enter into the joy of His salvation and so become even more human and healthy. What is unhealthy is to wallow in doing nothing, inactivity, a deficit of wisdom and intellect, wallowing in guilt which does not lead us to confession, repentance, faith in Jesus Christ, and forgiveness.’ #nottheboss #togetheronpurpose
It’s time to get ready for VBS 2019 Big Top Circus! Registration for volunteers and children is now open! We can’t wait for the circus to come to town to share the great acts of God! VBS will either be June 17-21 or June 24-28 depending on the last day of school. The final decision will be made as soon as we know if additional snow days will be forgiven for all school systems. Register here: https://mpcc.org/events/
Celebrate our risen Savior on Sunday, April 21st during one of our four Easter Services at: 8:00 am, 9:30 am, 11:00 am or 12:30 pm. Kids through 6th grade will also have an amazing experience available just for them at each service! More info at mpcc.org/events. The absolute height and climax of Christianity so far, is that Jesus Christ, a dead man, came back to life and is with the Father today! That’s what we celebrate on Resurrection Sunday! But here’s our question this Easter: Why did He come back to Earth after he rose again? Why not go straight to heaven? What was so important for him to not only to come back here, but to stay here for 40 days? This Easter we will take an exciting trip Ireland as together we examine ’The Time Between’.
